Vietnamese Foodies gives back
The owner of Vietnamese Foodies, the highly recommended restaurant in Dubai’s JLT, is handing over all the restaurant’s takings on February 4 to the outlet’s 27 staff. This is to mark the Lunar New Year, known as Tet in Vietnam, and which falls on February 5. Tet, similar to Chinese New Year, is one of the biggest holidays in Vietnam. During the festivities, it is usual for elders to give younger family members Bao Li Xi, or red envelopes containing cash, explained Lily Hoa Nguyen, the eatery’s owner and executive chef.
