3 hip new ways to go out and get healthy food in Dubai

From a wellness-focused ladies night at Bounty Beats to organic breakfast at Riva Ristorante to Cassette, a trendy new cafe hidden away in Al Quoz, here are the newest ways to get fresh and tasty at three of Dubai’s healthy cafes.

Bounty Beats Athleisure ladies night

Forget bubbly and smoke-filled dance floors. This new ladies night, launched at the recently opened cafe Bounty Beats in Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, is all about everything healthy – straight from yoga or the gym.

Ladies are welcome in their athleisure every Tuesday from 6pm to 10pm. For food, there’s an all-you-can-eat healthy menu and dishes are 100 percent gluten free. Expect avocado burgers and Sicilian-style salmon with broccoli sides, topped off with vegan chocolate mousse or vegan paleo lemon custard tart. This endless edible package will set you back Dh99. If you want something a bit more indulgent, there’s the option to add on additional beverages.

All this happens in Bounty Beat’s undeniably cute space. Exteriors are all hanging plants, wicker seating and tasseled blankets draped over chairs, while the interiors are done in popping pink with winged wall decals.

Cassette’s hidden healthy breakfast

Stepping into The Courtyard in Al Quoz feels like swinging open a gate and discovering a secret garden. Tucked between warehouses, this serene space features a long walkway lined by trees and fountains, Parisian-style tables extending from cafes, and plenty of light from the sunroof.

It’s here you’ll find Cassette, a brand-new cafe that is already overflowing with guests. Exposed bulbs hang from a high ceiling while quirky paintings, 70s-style couches and plenty of vinyls line the walls. The interior echos the hipster cool of Tom & Serg — unsurprising, since the design team is the same.

There are loads of healthy options on the French-inspired menu, too. An acai bowl comes topped with plenty of fresh fruit and granola, while lattes run the gamut from matcha to turmeric. Avocado toast features prominently (here done with chunks of feta and pomegranates on thick bread). It’s no wonder the place is packed (warning: the service can suffer because of it). The food is good, the vibe is cool and the coffee creative.

Beachfront organic breakfast at Riva Ristorante

With ocean views, a spacious pool and general Mediterranean vibes, it’s easy to understand the appeal of Riva Beach Club, The Palm. Now this fabulous outdoor space has launched a brand new health-focused menu in partnership with Ripe Organic Company.

Available from 7.30am until 11am weekdays and until 1pm on weekends, the offerings toy with all things fresh. There’s a skinny omelette made with egg whites, bio-spinach and feta cheese; a spirulina booster drink and coco-mango chia pudding. Vegans can dive into the power quinoa salad while vegetarians have the Riva Super Bowl, which mixes avocados, boiled eggs, quinoa and fresh tomatoes.

Because this is Dubai, there’s a naturally more indulgent option for the weekends. That’s when Riva also offers a Mimosa Breakfast (Dh149 for any breakfast item plus unlimited mimosas) — ideal for those days when you persuade yourself that orange juice makes everything a detox drink.
